Interview – James Harris Of International Watch Seminar At The Recent Watchmakers Club Event
Want to build your own watch complete with, if you like, you name on the dial and as much or as little decoration as you think appropriate. Then get yourself to the International Watch Seminar’s South London workshop. Once you’re there you have the opportunity to learn exactly how the components of a mechanical watch fit together, making the glorious little engine that has delighted and entranced people for centuries.
In this video James Harris of the Seminar explains what a visit to the workshop entails, how much time you’ll need to assemble your watch and how much your finished watch will cost.
Later in the video the folks from the Seminar also show an intriguing bit of up-cycling or what an Apple watch looks like when transformed into a mechanical wristwatch that will last for decades not just a few years.
